Where to stay in Detroit?
652 places to stay and 38,472 rooms across Detroit, the suburbs and Michigan’s favorite weekend towns. Tell us what brings you here and we’ll show you where to sleep.
A game, a show, a convention or a dawn flight? Pick one and we line up the hotels: downtown by walking minutes, on an aerial photo with the walking rings.
Packages straight from the hotels’ own sites: game days, theater nights, park and fly. We gathered them in one place so you don’t have to click around.
An all-suite DoubleTree in a 1918 downtown hotel with a 1927 Albert Kahn tower, a short walk from Huntington Place. It's being turned into an Embassy Suites.
'The Pontch': a 25-story riverfront hotel since 1965, on the site of the French fort and right next to Huntington Place. Every room's angled bay window faces the river and Canada.
Detroit's biggest hotel: about 1,300 rooms in the RenCen's 73-story center tower, on the Riverwalk with the People Mover in the complex. Expected to close temporarily after April 2027.
A DoubleTree where the Southfield Freeway meets Ford Road: technically Detroit's west side, practically next door to Dearborn. Ford HQ and The Henry Ford are a quick drive.

A five-story full-service Holiday Inn in Troy's Northfield Hills office park near I-75 and Crooks Road, with an indoor pool and Toast to Toast, where kids eat free.
A Woodward Avenue social hub in Bloomfield Hills since 1958 and a DoubleTree by Hilton since 2018, with 144 rooms, an indoor saltwater pool and a Joe Muer Seafood.

Grand ballrooms, a radio studio on the roof, jazz in the basement: some of the city’s great hotels still stand, others live on only in photos. The Green Book tag marks the places where Black travelers could stay safely during segregation.
On the hotel’s own site your deal is with the hotel itself, and Quarter Detroit reader perks only work there.
02
Count in parking
At most downtown hotels parking costs extra, and many only offer valet. When we know the price, it’s on the hotel’s page.
03
Book early on game days
If you’re coming on a Tigers, Lions or Red Wings day or for a big concert, the rooms around the stadiums go first. Check Events to see what’s on in town.
04
You can skip the car
The People Mover and the QLINE streetcar are free, and most downtown hotels are a few minutes’ walk from a stop. Each hotel page shows the nearest one.
