Every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through November 1, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Westview Orchards & Winery in Washington, Michigan, runs Weekend Fall Fun with an America's 250th themed corn maze, wagon rides, a 40-foot slide and petting animals. Check the farm's site for admission prices.

Upland Hills Farm in Oxford hosts its Harvest Festival every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through October 31, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with a hayride, pumpkin patch, magic show, farm show and even cow milking included in the $13 admission. Kids 24 months and under get in free, and it runs rain or shine.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy throws Detroit Harvest Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, with live entertainment, local vendors, a food truck rally, full bars, a pumpkin patch and kids' activities. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door, free for 3 and under, 65+ and active military.

Detroit's own Ballet Folklorico dancers tour the regions of Mexico through costume, music and footwork in a one-hour family show at the DIA's Detroit Film Theatre on Saturday, October 3, at noon. It's free with general admission, and Tri-County residents get in free with ID.
