(sub)surface, a fully accessible group exhibition for people with visual impairments, runs Thursday, September 10 through Saturday, October 24 at Swords Into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery in Detroit during Detroit Month of Design. Free admission; the gallery is open Fri–Sat 1–6 p.m.

Mosaic Productions’ collaborative exhibition (Interpretation Show #9) runs Saturday, September 19, through October 17 at Office Space Gallery in Detroit, with the opening reception on Saturday, September 19, at 6 p.m. Photographers shot from their cars and artists reinterpreted the images—40+ participants, curated by Tim Tonachella and Billy Hunter.

The Long family has farmed the same stretch of Commerce Road since 1876, and for their 150th fall the Fun Farm is open Fridays through Sundays, October 2 through November 1, with 20+ attractions, a corn maze and a hayride to the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch. Admission is $19 online or $21 at the gate.

After the jaw-dropping BLACK HOLE in 2025, Shamel Pitts | TRIBE is back in Ann Arbor on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2 p.m. with its newest work, Marks of Red, presented by UMS (University Musical Society). The Henry Ford's evening Halloween walk returns to Greenfield Village in Dearborn for its 46th season, October 1–4, 8–11, 15–18 and 22–25 (Thursdays to Sundays), 6–9:30 p.m., with more than 50 costumed characters and scenes from The Wizard of Oz and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Tickets run $28–$42, and several nights sell out, so book early.
