Organized by Downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market runs Sundays from May 3 to October 25, 2026, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at Public Parking Lot 6 in Birmingham. Expect Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, flowers, artisan goods, plus live music and food trucks.

Downtown Birmingham hosts BirminghamBURGER from Thursday, October 1, to Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Downtown Birmingham, Birmingham. Local chefs roll out limited-edition burgers, and you vote to crown the Best Burger in Downtown Birmingham.

Diehl's Orchard & Cider Mill in Holly runs hayrides every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through October 18, weather permitting. Rides are $3, and kids 3 and under ride free.

The Long family has farmed the same stretch of Commerce Road since 1876, and for their 150th fall the Fun Farm is open Fridays through Sundays, October 2 through November 1, with 20+ attractions, a corn maze and a hayride to the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch. Admission is $19 online or $21 at the gate.

Erie Orchards and Cider Mill in Erie hosts its Pumpkin Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, on a working farm with apple picking, pumpkins, hayrides and a corn maze in the fall. Check the farm's site for the schedule, hours and prices.

On Sundays October 4, 11, 18 and 25, 1–4 p.m., balloon artist John Winslow twists free balloon creations at Goodison Cider Mill in Rochester, with free live music most Sunday afternoons. It all depends on weather and crowds, so call ahead.

From October 2 through November 1, Blake's Big Apple in Armada goes full spooky every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with zombie paintball, a haunted hayride, a 3-story haunted barn and the family-friendly Spookyland. Fridays and Saturdays run 6–11 p.m., Sundays 6–10 p.m., with tickets starting at $17.95.

Saugatuck-Douglas CommUNITY Pride throws an all-welcome Oktoberfest at Beery Field in Douglas on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m., with a German band, a keg toss, local beer and wine. It’s $10 at the door.

Beacon Park’s Cider in the City runs Saturday–Sunday, October 10–18, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Detroit. Fresh hot cider, pumpkins, and caramel apples from Blake’s Farms, plus live entertainment and family activities; you can pre-order items for pickup by noon the Friday before each date.

Grosse Pointe War Memorial hosts its Silent Book Club on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6 p.m. at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms. The City of Dearborn opens its wooded Halloween trail at Ford Field Park October 16–18 (Friday to Sunday), starting at 7 p.m. each night, haunted this year by cryptids of legend, with a later Witching Hour for guests 18+. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day, for a specific date and time slot.

Grand Rapids Ballet dances Broken Wings on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Peter Martin Wege Theatre, 341 Ellsworth SW in Grand Rapids. Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's ballet draws on Frida Kahlo's life and art, with surrealist imagery and a score laced with Mexican folk music. James Sofranko's A Dreamer, inspired by Stephen Hawking, shares the bill.
