Every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through November 1, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Westview Orchards & Winery in Washington, Michigan, runs Weekend Fall Fun with an America's 250th themed corn maze, wagon rides, a 40-foot slide and petting animals. Check the farm's site for admission prices.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy throws Detroit Harvest Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, with live entertainment, local vendors, a food truck rally, full bars, a pumpkin patch and kids' activities. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door, free for 3 and under, 65+ and active military.

On Sundays October 4, 11, 18 and 25, 1–4 p.m., balloon artist John Winslow twists free balloon creations at Goodison Cider Mill in Rochester, with free live music most Sunday afternoons. It all depends on weather and crowds, so call ahead.

Spicer Orchards in Fenton hosts the Pumpkin Glow Run 5K on Friday, October 30, part of its new-in-2026 Spicer Orchards 5K Race Series. Registration is through RunSignup; check there or on the orchard's site for the fee and start time.

On Friday, October 30, 6–11 p.m., Blake's Big Apple in Armada runs its 3-story haunted barn in total darkness with double the actors, and all you get is a glow stick. There's no special ticket: a Haunted Barn individual or package ticket for October 30 gets you in.

On October 31 and November 1, Wiard's Orchards in Ypsilanti hosts a Halloween-weekend 5K and 10K starting at 8:15 a.m., the Cider Mill Mile at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and free samples of fall flavors all weekend. Check Wiard's site for race fees.

Dexter Cider Mill hosts a free, casual 5K on Sunday, November 1, at 9 a.m. in Dexter; run it or walk it, with shoe demos and refreshments.

Kackleberry Farms in Monroe runs its Fall Festival on weekends from September 12 through November 1, plus Thursday and Friday evenings (3–7 p.m.) on October 15, 16, 22 and 23, with 30+ attractions including a super-mega slide, a jumping pillow and pig and duck races. Weekend tickets are $21.99 online or $25 at the gate.
