Detroit Riverfront Conservancy brings back Detroit Harvest Fest on Saturday–Sunday, October 3–4 at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park in Detroit. Two days of live music, family programming, fall activities, trick-or-treating, and dozens of local food trucks.
Diehl's Orchard & Cider Mill in Holly runs hayrides every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through October 18, weather permitting. Rides are $3, and kids 3 and under ride free.

Every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through November 1, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Westview Orchards & Winery in Washington, Michigan, runs Weekend Fall Fun with an America's 250th themed corn maze, wagon rides, a 40-foot slide and petting animals. Check the farm's site for admission prices.
Upland Hills Farm in Oxford hosts its Harvest Festival every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through October 31, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with a hayride, pumpkin patch, magic show, farm show and even cow milking included in the $13 admission. Kids 24 months and under get in free, and it runs rain or shine.
Hy's Cider Mill in Romeo is open Saturdays and Sundays, October 3 through November 1, 11 a.m.–6 p.m., with a wagon ride out to the U-Pick apples (picking ends at 5 p.m.). Check the mill's site for prices.

Lon Chaney's legendary Phantom haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. The 1929 revised version of The Phantom of the Opera hits the screen at Muskegon's Frauenthal Theater on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 3 p.m., with Dennis Scott on the live Barton organ. It's a Halloween-season night with one of the most iconic horror films ever made.
The Detroit Zoological Society's merry-not-scary Zoo Boo fills the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak with trick-or-treat stations, live entertainment and costumed characters on October 3–4, 9–11, 16–18 and 23–25, from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $21–$25 ($27 at the gate) through the zoo's webstore.
The Livonia Senior Wellness Center organized a motor coach trip to Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids featuring indoor and outdoor exhibits, including a narrated outdoor tram tour and the Dale Chihuly installations.
