The Workshop Brass Band hosted the annual Mardi Gras celebration featuring New Orleans jazz music and authentic local cuisine at Bonfire at the Continental Fire Co. The event embraced the New Orleans Brass Band tradition to provide an authentic cultural experience for the Keweenaw community.

The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra features talented winners of an Upper Peninsula-wide concerto competition performing their solos. Founded in 1971, the orchestra includes Michigan Tech students, faculty, and community musicians, presenting various orchestral and musical events in the region.
