Organized by Downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market runs Sundays from May 3 to October 25, 2026, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at Public Parking Lot 6 in Birmingham. Expect Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, flowers, artisan goods, plus live music and food trucks.

Downtown Birmingham hosts BirminghamBURGER from Thursday, October 1, to Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Downtown Birmingham, Birmingham. Local chefs roll out limited-edition burgers, and you vote to crown the Best Burger in Downtown Birmingham.

The Long family has farmed the same stretch of Commerce Road since 1876, and for their 150th fall the Fun Farm is open Fridays through Sundays, October 2 through November 1, with 20+ attractions, a corn maze and a hayride to the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch. Admission is $19 online or $21 at the gate.

Detroit's own Ballet Folklorico dancers tour the regions of Mexico through costume, music and footwork in a one-hour family show at the DIA's Detroit Film Theatre on Saturday, October 3, at noon. It's free with general admission, and Tri-County residents get in free with ID.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 3 p.m., the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea (137 Park Street) stages Bastard, Devin Scillian's dramedy about two brothers who share nothing but a last name: an aging country rocker and a buttoned-down financial whiz. Join the American Red Cross Parent & Child Aquatics program at the SDC Pool in Houghton for ages 6 months to 3 years. A parent must accompany the child in the water. The course helps children become comfortable with water and teaches swimming readiness, while providing important water safety information for parents.
