Organized by Downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market runs Sundays from May 3 to October 25, 2026, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at Public Parking Lot 6 in Birmingham. Expect Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, flowers, artisan goods, plus live music and food trucks.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy throws Detroit Harvest Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, with live entertainment, local vendors, a food truck rally, full bars, a pumpkin patch and kids' activities. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door, free for 3 and under, 65+ and active military.

The City of Birmingham throws a free Halloween costume party in downtown's Shain Park on Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., with costume contests, bounce houses, an exotic zoo, food trucks and dance parties. Kids can pick and decorate a pumpkin, get their faces painted and ride the train.

On Sunday, October 25, Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester lets kids trick-or-treat along the estate's woodland paths and through the first floor of the historic mansion, with games, crafts, cider and donuts in a heated Garden Tent. Advance timed-entry tickets are required ($20 youth, $10 adults), and every slot is expected to sell out.
