Pontiac's long-running Erebus haunted attraction is back with its Primordium storyline at 18 South Perry St., open October 1–4, 7–11, 13–18 and 20–31, plus November 1, 6 and 7. Tickets are sold by date on the official Erebus calendar, $25–$42 depending on the night.

Diehl's Orchard & Cider Mill in Holly runs hayrides every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through October 18, weather permitting. Rides are $3, and kids 3 and under ride free.

The Long family has farmed the same stretch of Commerce Road since 1876, and for their 150th fall the Fun Farm is open Fridays through Sundays, October 2 through November 1, with 20+ attractions, a corn maze and a hayride to the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch. Admission is $19 online or $21 at the gate.

The Detroit Free Press Marathon starts at 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from Fort Street downtown: the full and the International Half cross the Ambassador Bridge into Windsor, Canada, come back through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel and finish on Woodward just south of Campus Martius. The marathon and halves are sold out, but Saturday's 5K is open through October 8 while spots last, and anyone can cheer at the finish chute.

The Henry Ford’s Artemis Adventure with LEGO Bricks runs from Sunday, October 18, 2026, to Sunday, January 3, 2027, at The Gallery by General Motors inside the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn. Giant LEGO sculptures and hands-on engineering stations bring NASA’s Artemis missions to life. Free for members or with museum admission.

Every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through November 1, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Westview Orchards & Winery in Washington, Michigan, runs Weekend Fall Fun with an America's 250th themed corn maze, wagon rides, a 40-foot slide and petting animals. Check the farm's site for admission prices.

Upland Hills Farm in Oxford hosts its Harvest Festival every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through October 31, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with a hayride, pumpkin patch, magic show, farm show and even cow milking included in the $13 admission.
