Organized by Downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market runs Sundays from May 3 to October 25, 2026, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at Public Parking Lot 6 in Birmingham. Expect Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, flowers, artisan goods, plus live music and food trucks.

Downtown Birmingham hosts BirminghamBURGER from Thursday, October 1, to Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Downtown Birmingham, Birmingham. Local chefs roll out limited-edition burgers, and you vote to crown the Best Burger in Downtown Birmingham.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy throws Detroit Harvest Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, with live entertainment, local vendors, a food truck rally, full bars, a pumpkin patch and kids' activities. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door, free for 3 and under, 65+ and active military.

Edsel & Eleanor Ford House hosts its not‑too‑spooky daytime Halloween for little ones on Saturday, October 24, starting at 11 a.m. at Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores. Follow a 13‑stop Trick‑or‑Treat Trail, try the straw mini‑maze and a hayride. Ticketed event.

On Sunday, October 25, Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester lets kids trick-or-treat along the estate's woodland paths and through the first floor of the historic mansion, with games, crafts, cider and donuts in a heated Garden Tent. Advance timed-entry tickets are required ($20 youth, $10 adults), and every slot is expected to sell out.

Charles Prophet Jr. plays a concert on Wednesday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. at Aretha’s Jazz Café at Music Hall in Detroit. Extra perk: it’s on the Aretha’s Jazz Café stage.

On Thursday, October 29, 7–9:30 p.m., Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester invites grown-ups to trick-or-treat in costume at the historic hall, with live music, a self-guided tour and a cash bar. Tickets are $50, or $45 for members.
