Hallowe'en in Greenfield Village: An evening Halloween walk in Dearborn
The Henry Ford's evening Halloween walk returns to Greenfield Village in Dearborn for its 46th season, October 1–4, 8–11, 15–18 and 22–25 (Thursdays to Sundays), 6–9:30 p.m., with more than 50 costumed characters and scenes from The Wizard of Oz and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Tickets run $28–$42, and several nights sell out, so book early.

Full Moon Haunted House at Bonadeo Farms: a haunted house and hayride in Highland Township

From October 2 through November 1, Blake's Big Apple in Armada goes full spooky every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with zombie paintball, a haunted hayride, a 3-story haunted barn and the family-friendly Spookyland. Spooky Spirits: A 21+ Halloween costume bash at the Detroit Zoo
The Detroit Zoological Society throws a strictly 21+ Halloween costume party at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak on Friday, October 2, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. (VIP entry at 6), with more than 100 craft drink tastings, live music and a costume contest. The City of Dearborn opens its wooded Halloween trail at Ford Field Park October 16–18 (Friday to Sunday), starting at 7 p.m. each night, haunted this year by cryptids of legend, with a later Witching Hour for guests 18+. Meadow Brook Hall-oween: Trick-or-treating at a historic mansion
On Sunday, October 25, Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester lets kids trick-or-treat along the estate's woodland paths and through the first floor of the historic mansion, with games, crafts, cider and donuts in a heated Garden Tent. Advance timed-entry tickets are required ($20 youth, $10 adults), and every slot is expected to sell out.

Run Scream Run & Sampling Weekend at Wiard's Orchards: a Halloween race weekend in Ypsilanti
