Registration is $55 for the 5K and $60 for the 10K until October 31 at 11:59 p.m.
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy holds its yearly Day of the Dead celebration at Robert C. Valade Park on Sunday, November 1, 11 a.m.–3 p.m., with food, live entertainment, shop vendors and kids' activities, plus a community ofrenda where you can add a name or message for a loved one. Admission is free.
Kackleberry Farms in Monroe runs its Fall Festival on weekends from September 12 through November 1, plus Thursday and Friday evenings (3–7 p.m.) on October 15, 16, 22 and 23, with 30+ attractions including a super-mega slide, a jumping pillow and pig and duck races.
