The Henry Ford's evening Halloween walk returns to Greenfield Village in Dearborn for its 46th season, October 1–4, 8–11, 15–18 and 22–25 (Thursdays to Sundays), 6–9:30 p.m., with more than 50 costumed characters and scenes from The Wizard of Oz and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Tickets run $28–$42, and several nights sell out, so book early.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy throws Detroit Harvest Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, with live entertainment, local vendors, a food truck rally, full bars, a pumpkin patch and kids' activities. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door, free for 3 and under, 65+ and active military.

The City of Dearborn opens its wooded Halloween trail at Ford Field Park October 16–18 (Friday to Sunday), starting at 7 p.m. each night, haunted this year by cryptids of legend, with a later Witching Hour for guests 18+. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day, for a specific date and time slot.

The City of Birmingham throws a free Halloween costume party in downtown's Shain Park on Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., with costume contests, bounce houses, an exotic zoo, food trucks and dance parties. Kids can pick and decorate a pumpkin, get their faces painted and ride the train.

Grosse Pointe War Memorial hosts the 4th Annual Halloween Spooktacular on Sunday, October 25, at 12 p.m., at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms. Expect indoor trick-or-treating in the historic Alger House plus live stage shows. Tickets are $10 per person.

Kalkaska Quartet brings a Halloween-themed program on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 6 p.m. at Ford House’s Lake Shore Room in Grosse Pointe Shores (two sessions: 6–7:15 and 8–9:15).
